GENERAL LABORER

POSITION SUMMARY:

General laborers provide support for service department. This role performs a variety of duties such as boat detailing, shrink wrapping, hauling boats to and from storage, delivery of pontoons/boats to customers & assist with setting up at sports shows/fairs. They cover a broad range of tasks including lifting, sanitation, operating machinery, and transporting items.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Performs various physical duties as assigned.
• Moves, secures, installs, builds, loads or unloads materials.
• Performs specialized tasks, may require on the job training.
• Ability to use heavy and light equipment, depending on the job.
• Moves items from place to place, per direction from supervisor.
• Maintains a clean and professional work area.
• ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School education or equivalent experience.
• Driver’s license, with a clean driving record.
• Experience operating a forklift, bobcat/skid-steer.

MUST HAVE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

• Ability to operate heavy equipment safely.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, associates, and customer.
• Ability to receive and follow instructions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to perform heavy lifting up to and more than 50 pounds.
• Requires long periods of standing and walking.
• Ability to work both inside and outside, in all weather conditions.

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:

• Performs tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems. Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments.

HOURS: Variable. Monday – Saturday. Work schedules (Hours and days) are subject to change based on department needs.

ANTICIPATED HIRING RANGE: $15-$20 Hourly
