GENERAL LABORER
POSITION SUMMARY:
General laborers provide support for service department. This role performs a variety of duties such as boat detailing, shrink wrapping, hauling boats to and from storage, delivery of pontoons/boats to customers & assist with setting up at sports shows/fairs. They cover a broad range of tasks including lifting, sanitation, operating machinery, and transporting items.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Performs various physical duties as assigned.
- Moves, secures, installs, builds, loads or unloads materials.
- Performs specialized tasks, may require on the job training.
- Ability to use heavy and light equipment, depending on the job.
- Moves items from place to place, per direction from supervisor.
- Maintains a clean and professional work area.
- ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School education or equivalent experience.
- Driver’s license, with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating a forklift, bobcat/skid-steer.
MUST HAVE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, associates, and customer.
- Ability to receive and follow instructions.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to perform heavy lifting up to and more than 50 pounds.
- Requires long periods of standing and walking.
- Ability to work both inside and outside, in all weather conditions.
INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:
- Performs tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems. Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments.
HOURS: Variable. Monday – Saturday. Work schedules (Hours and days) are subject to change based on department needs.
ANTICIPATED HIRING RANGE: $15-$20 Hourly
